| Lance retired when the Didsbury Training School closed in 1985. He’d been there about 10 to 12 years. He was a real character and I’m told that in the 1950s he was suspended for 12 months on full pay suspected of Communist connections. He had in fact married an Armenian girl old eastern bloc so no connections found. Lance Died at the right good old age of 100 |

| Alan spent his early days in the 60’s 70’s and 80’s in Dial House Carrier and his latter management days spent in the NOU in Manchester. |

| John came from Liverpool to take a level one post. Over the years he worked in the North and Central areas in various guises rising to level three in Dial House. He was a pleasant and respected boss always a gent. |

| Mick started in 1970 in the Wigan area he then moved to Manchester in the mid eighties on the Private Wire group moving on to the night staff working around Manchester and Lancs Cumbria around 2005. He retired in September 2011. |

| Cliff worked as a TO on Rutherford Trunk Auto on the Rota Team for many years before getting promotion into management possibly on Regional Planning and retired as a Tier 2. |

| Fred worked as a TO in TVNSC Dial House and Heaton Park Radio Station. He then moved to Postal Engineering as a Level 1 manager. Then to Manchester North ELP Construction and Building Liaison Officer. |

| Graham started BT as a youth in training when he was just 16 or 17. He worked on exchange construction and his boss was Tommy Moss in the latter years. He left BT on the first release in 1992. Sadly he passed away after suffering from dementia. |
