  Harry Prowe
 Harry was a colourful character who spent most of his working life on Transmission 1st Floor Dial House Manchester.

  Alan Tetlow
 Alan spent many years on Aerial Rigging duties for the Television Outside Broadcast group based in Trafford Park. He retired from BT in 1992.

  Derek Smith
 Derek Smith aka DASmith No5 started his BT career on Exchange Constuction in South Manchester in the 70s before moving on to Customer App and Line where he spent most of his BT life. Derek took early retirement in the 90s and later moved to Cornwall.

  Syd McCarthy
 Syd was BT man and boy. He joined the Post Office as a ‘Messenger Boy’ aged 15 and later worked as a jointer then as a TO in Edgeley in the 1970s and early 1980s and finally as the Level One manager of Dalton Exchange at Dial House until he retired. Syd also played in POEU Brass Band and was a lifetime United supporter.

 Brian worked Manual Board Maintenance at Dial House and then Ashton Exchange before taking retirement.

  Frank Harris
 Frank spent most of his career on the Telex 2VF audio carrier in York Street. For many years Frank was an active member of the POEU and served as Vice Chairman and a Committee Member for several years.

  Trevor Bigham
 Trevor GPO Telephones in the mid 50's. He worked as a fitter and progressed to being a High Grade Fitter with his excellent problem solving skills.

  Brian Pike
 Brian Pike was a fitter in 70s and 80s in the Stockport area. When he left BT he was the landlord of the White Hart in Whaley Bridge.

 Dennis worked on private wires in Dial House Manchester

  Eric Woodhouse
 Eric started his career in Liverpool where he was a TO on Transmission Works Orders at Liverpool D Repeater Station. He eventually got promotion to the Regional Service Division on Transmission Duties where he worked until retirement.

  Dave Turton
 In the 1980-90’s Dave worked in the ADCO and the Datel Planning offices moving latterly to Customer Network Operations Project Management based in Telephone House. Previously he had worked on external works groups around the Manchester area.

 Dave was a Customer Service engineer working for Openreach in the Macclesfield area. He also used to cover the PABX customers around Macclesfield Congleton and surrounding areas.

 Ralph worked on Trunk Test in Dial House in the 1960's and was promoted to level 1 mamager on External Planning.

  Frank Rowbotham
 Frank started out on maintenance at Trafford exchange then followed thirty years on Telex. Both at York Street and Dial House. After the closure of Telex Frank moved to Broadband Provision.

 Ron was TOA in Gatley ATE from 1971.

  Bill Howard
 Bill worked in Manchester Central after starting as an apprentice in the 1950's. He is probably best remembered working on large customer switch maintenance as well as being on permanent call out. Bill was a larger than life character known by many for his great sense of humour.
