  Mike Kelly
 Mike worked on Private Wires at customer premises for many years. When Openreach was formed he continued to work at customer sites on installations until his retirement.

  Colin Bennett
 Colin worked on north area construction at Ashton-Under-Lyne ATE in the seventies. Colin joined BT as a TTA in 1969 and retired in 2010.

  Les Robinson
 Les worked in Manchester Central Circuit Provision Control then Manchester CPC before moving into Broadband Diagnostics where he finished his career.

  Brian Warren
 Brian worked for many years in Dial House on construction duties. Brian retired in 2002.

  Dennis Massey
 Dennis joined Post Office Telecoms in Manchester Central Area as a TTA in 1971 he then worked on PABX Maintence based in Gorton. After 15 years Dennis left the company and worked in Oman for 9 years before returning to the UK.

  David H Nicholson
 Dave was the level 1 at Central and Piccadilly in the late 70’s early 80’s. He then became the level 2 over the NACC and digital exchanges. He will probably be best remembered for his role in the building of the NOU.

 Terry was a much appreciated colleague who worked in TASS and Manchester Telex in York Street.

  Lance Middleton
 Lance retired when the Didsbury Training School closed in 1985. He’d been there about 10 to 12 years. He was a real character and I’m told that in the 1950s he was suspended for 12 months on full pay suspected of Communist connections. He had in fact married an Armenian girl old eastern bloc so no connections found. Lance Died at the right good old age of 100

  Alan Jones
 Alan spent his early days in the 60’s 70’s and 80’s in Dial House Carrier and his latter management days spent in the NOU in Manchester.

  John Williams
 John came from Liverpool to take a level one post. Over the years he worked in the North and Central areas in various guises rising to level three in Dial House. He was a pleasant and respected boss always a gent.

  Mick Owens
 Mick started in 1970 in the Wigan area he then moved to Manchester in the mid eighties on the Private Wire group moving on to the night staff working around Manchester and Lancs Cumbria around 2005. He retired in September 2011.

  Cliff Maher
 Cliff worked as a TO on Rutherford Trunk Auto on the Rota Team for many years before getting promotion into management possibly on Regional Planning and retired as a Tier 2.

  Fred Eric Taylor
 Fred worked as a TO in TVNSC Dial House and Heaton Park Radio Station. He then moved to Postal Engineering as a Level 1 manager. Then to Manchester North ELP Construction and Building Liaison Officer.

  Graham Keene
 Graham started BT as a youth in training when he was just 16 or 17. He worked on exchange construction and his boss was Tommy Moss in the latter years. He left BT on the first release in 1992. Sadly he passed away after suffering from dementia.

 Festus worked on Building Services mainly based in Telecoms House.

  Phil Beattie
 Phil worked at The Prestwich Exchange building as a planner overseeing contractors. He died at the young age of 53.
