 John worked in the Oldham area and also Collyhurst.

 John was P.O.E.U internal North Branch Secretary, He was later elected on to the Nation Executive.

  Mike Lamb
 Mike worked on UG and then came into Dial House on the MEAS Team. From there he ended his day on the 24-7 fault reception shift team. He retired around 2020.

 Frank worked in Dial House in ACE CP. If anyone knows any other details of Frank's working history please let us know.

  Jim Currie
 Jim worked for EL and P in Dial House for many years. He was active and excelled at many sports for the partially sighted.

  Geoff Brown
 Geoff worked on External planning for many years. During this time he did a two secondment to Libya laying cables in the desert. On taking release he became the tenant of the Silver Springs in Denton and a Steward of Aldwinians Rugby Club in Audenshaw.

  John O'Mara
 John worked at Dial House for 30 years from the 60's to the 90's which is also where he met his wife Beryl.

  Peter Mannion
 Pete joined the GPO, as an apprentice, in 1959 60. He is probably best known for his time as ‘TO-In-Charge’ at Prestbury Exchange. When the exchange was upgraded to digital he moved onto Subs App and Line, where he was Special Faults Investigator on Macclesfield RSC area. After the RSC closed Pete then took up a manager post, in Church Street, Manchester. He left BT mid 1990s on one of the many ‘early release schemes'.

  Phil Taylor
 Phil worked on Exchange construction staff NE32 in Manchester North Area. He left BT and went to work for I.B.M. many years ago. He passed away at his home in London.

  Norman Newsham
 Norman worked mostly in the Blackfriars Central area of Manchester as a fitter customer works engineer.

  John Kerr
 John started out on External in Manchester, I think. He moved to Transmission and 21CN planning from 1999 until 2009 first in Telecoms House and then in Dial House. He then went into the CTC and then on to Openreach planning Heavy cable recovery and FTTC in both Prestwich and Preston and then more field based resolving issues on FTTP provision.

  Kenneth Michael Gregory
 Mike worked in Dial House in the Trunk exchanges. He spent his spare time working on his Mini, he was also a keen photographer.

 Cyril worked on Construction in the Manchester North Area. He moved to St. Anne's after retirement.

  John Chant
 John spent most of his service in the north of the areas. He started as a youth on Subs App and line, then on exchange construction, followed by a period on E.L. and P. He left B.T. in 1993

  Geoff Bygrave
 Geoff worked in Trunk Test in Dial house before moving to Cellnet, also based in Dial House.

  Phil Bright
 Phil worked in many locations within Manchester including Pioneer Exchange in Dial House, Rutherford Guardian, Manchester 'A' Trunk Test and TVNSC. He took voluntary redundancy from BT in 1996 and moved to Eccleshall. He had various jobs subsequently working for Nynex to bus driving with Arriva and much in between.

  Haydn James Mason
 Haydn worked on Electric Lighting and Power in the old Manchester North area and was based for a while at Oldham Exchange. He was also involved in the Territorial Army outside of his BT life and also did a lot of charity work.

  Brian Pitchford
 Brian was in Pioneer and worked mainly upstairs on the Manual Switch Boards alongside Colin Dutton, Brian ‘Booper’ Benson and Tony Robinson, was on the Dalton Staff so we all worked alongside each other on the 3rd Floor in Dial House.
