candles.jpg Farewell Nadine Beard
Lynne Pringle-Adley got in touch with the sad news about Nadine.

I know it's a bit late in the day but could you let people know the very sad news that Nadine Beard passed away on November 21st.

Her funeral was held last Friday, 15th December at 9.30am at Pendleton Church, Salford and then Agecroft Cemetery.

She was only 46 and worked at Grand Island. I only found out just before the funeral and 4 of us from BT turned up. She was a lovely lady and has a 23 year old daughter Lucy.

Thanks Lynne.

aerial.jpg Re: Paul Reay’s recent death
Harry Bannister wrote to us with a touching account of the legacy of Paul's involvement with gymnastics.

Harry wrote:-

Re Paul Reay’s recent death, anybody he knew him will know that he was highly regarded in the gymnastic world both locally and nationally so much so that in recognition of the work he did, the committee of the North West Regional Gymnastics Association renamed their annual competition this month from The North West Team Challenge to The Paul Reay Team Challenge. His daughter’s Samantha and Stephanie were invited to go along to present the medals and the trophy, a huge honour for them and a very emotional one. Samantha's son Adam also went.

Regards,

Harry
