| Ken Monaghan posted a notice on the website with the sad news of Phil's death.

| It is with a sad heart that I have to spread the word that Phil Beattie died recently at the age of 53.
| |
| He may not be known to many of you but when I was redeployed from the NOU I went to work for him at the old Prestwich Exchange overseeing contractors on the Network and Green Field Sites.
