| Chris Abbot contacted us with this sad news.

| I was contacted on Friday with the sad news that George Ward died last Wednesday, following a long battle with Cancer.
| |
|
| |
| The message came from his Grandson Danny Ward who probably isn't aware of the BT MR website. Danny is a BT Employee.

|
| |
| |
|
| |
| George retired, too soon, in the mid 90's after a long career working in Manchester Central on PBX installation and then as a T1 on Private Wires.
| |
|
| |
| Good memories of George who was like a father figure to 'us young uns' on PW's at that time.
| |
|
| |
| |
|
| |
| For those who knew George, and wish to attend.
| |
| His Cremation is on Thursday 8th October at 13:00
