 | | Farewell David H Nicholson |
| | Dave’s son has just informed me that Dave passed away last Monday.
His funeral is this coming Tuesday but because of the cornavirus no celebration of his passing will take place. His son plans to organise a get together once things get back to normal. |

| | With regards the funeral of Bill Clarke this Monday 23rd March.
The family have been in touch to advise us that due to the current situation they have requested ONLY FAMILY attend the funeral.
They are very disappointed friends and ex colleagues of Bill cannot attend but In the current situation it is not allowed. |

| |  As the covid-19 pandemic starts to take hold, How do you know if you have it?
Despite all the measures you can take it is inevitable that millions will catch the virus.
Indeed from a scientific point of view the only way that will stop the virus at the moment is that most people will eventually catch it.
If enough people build up immunity to covid-19 the virus will be stopped in it's tracks.
Presently there is no anti-viral vaccine available, it may take up to a year or even longer to develop and produce one.
For healthy and young people it can be no worse than traditional flu, but for anyone with other complications it can be deadly.
If you do contract covid-19, take care not pass it on to vulnerable people.
Take care and stay safe. |

The Union Office has received a message from Terry Crowe's daughter, Fiona Butterworth, advising that her father had sadly died last Wednesday 4th March. Fiona said that she fondly remembers the Christmas Meals she had attended with her Dad at retired members events.
Terry was a much appreciated colleague who worked in TASS and Manchester Telex, in York Street.
Fiona wishes to let you know that the funeral has been arranged for Monday 23rd march at Altrincham Crem starting at 11.30. |

I have just had notification of the sad passing of Steve Kruger.
I think he was from the St Helens or maybe Warrington area but I best know him from BS Facilities Manager in Telecomms House.

Alan Jones father-in-law of my brother, passed away from organ failure whilst in France. He had been in poor health for some time.
