|  | Raymond Bailey cotacted us with the sad news of Dave's death. 
 
 Dave passed away in St Ann’s Hospice on the second of July after a long illness.
 
 He retired from BT about 20 years ago having worked on private wires and in various departments in Dial House He also joined a group of retired BT staff in the world of horse racing working at Aintree and Haydock Park.
 
 
 
 Funeral arrangements:
 
 Monday 15th July at 2pm
 Saint Johns Church
 Irlam Road
 Woodsend
 Urmston
 M41 6AP
 
 This will be a service of thanksgiving and celebration of Dave life.
 
 The familey will attend a private service of comital prior to this. service

|  | Very sad to hear of Daves passing. We encountered one another many times whilst working in Central Area, in the 1970s. I am not sure who was the noisiest, me or Dave. Last weekend I was staying in Central Manchester and made sure I walked around all our old haunts in town. Very happy memories. |
